Police are linking two incidents where items were stolen from cars both parked in Hawkwell Chase, Hockley.
Thieves broke into a Ford Escort and removed a work fleece.
Later, it emerged raiders had also broken into a black Mini and taken between ten and 15 CDs along with a bag containing a wallet with £10 inside as well as credit cards, a Gameboy and possibly a mini-disc player.
A police spokesman said: "There could be a possible link between the two incidents due to the proximity of the thefts."
