A Postmaster was recovering in Southend Hospital today after a burglar burst into his store, headbutted him and made off with cash.
The man entered the Post Office, in The Ridgeway, Westcliff, at around 4.30pm yesterday, threatened staff and hit the postmaster with his head.
He grabbed money from the counter before leaving on foot accompanied by a woman. The robber, who is believed to have been concealing a weapon in his sleeve, is thought to be aged between 25 and 30.
He was around 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, slim, with shaved, very short light brown hair and was wearing dark clothing at the time.
