Police are hunting two knife-weilding robbers who terrified a schoolboy aged 14 into handing over his money.
The boy was walking along Hereford Walk, on the Craylands estate, Basildon at around 11.45pm on Saturday.
Two young men asked him for a light, then spare change and eventually all his money. When he refused one of the men pulled out a knife.
The boy then handed over £20 and they ran off.
The knifeman was white, 6ft tall, stocky, aged around 17 or 18, and wore a hooded dark jacket.
The second man was white, 5ft 10ins, wearing glasses and wore dark clothing.
Anyone with information should contact Basildon police on 01268 532212.
