Youngsters got the chance to learn a wide range of entertaining skills when their school held a special Circus Day to mark the end of term.
The Eastwood Junior School in Rayleigh Road, Eastwood, was visited by Doody the entertainer as part of the day of spectacular activities.
In 45-minute long workshops, Doody passed on the secrets of his trade to the would-be clowns and taught them, among other things, the art of feather balancing, plastic plate spinning, unicycling, stilt walking and ribbon twirling.

Youngsters also got the chance to have their faces painted. Money raised from the circus event will go to a charity nominated by the school council, which also includes pupils.
Eastwood Junior teacher Paul Richards said: "They have really enjoyed the day.
"It has been a nice break from the curriculum for them and a nice way to wind down for the end of a long, hard-working term."
