Goodies, baddies and an array of colourful costumes are promised as more than 40 actors tread the boards to perform Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance.

The Benfleet Operatic Society will be at the Appleton Theatre, Croft Road, from tomorrow until Saturday.
Member Jackie Mitchell said: "It is a family show with colourful costumes, goodies and baddies and a happy ending."
