Hockley's Greensward College girls fought out two national schools basketball cup finals at Hemel Hempstead -- but lost them both.
The under-19s took on Ellesmere Port and were beaten 86-56, while the under-16 were up against Northampton High and went down 91-61.
However, it's been another great season on the basketball front for Greensward, who supply a number of players for the all-conquering Southend Swifts Club.
Greensward's under-14 and under-15 girls both reached the national cup final stages and finished both seventh.
It's a rather poignant time for Greensward as they now say goodbye to some of the established stars from their under-19 line-up, notably Vikki Wilmore who has gone on to win senior international honours.
This coming weekend the sporting attention at Greensward turns to athletics with several students involved in the national finals of the sport hall event.
