More than £1m of developments could be on their way to a Castle Point school.
Pupils at Castle View School, in Meppel Avenue, Canvey, along with the community, may soon be reaping the benefits of a new gymnasium, a state-of-the-art drama studio, cafe and two new hi-tech science labs.

Planning work has been going on for the past 18 months, spearheaded by headteacher Russell Sullivan.
He said: "The facilities will continue to raise pupils' achievements and provide the sort of education all parents want for their children."
The school is waiting for planning permission from the council before building can start but Mr Sullivan is confident the work will go ahead.
A bid has been put in to the Government's New Opportunities Fund to help finance the building of a £700,000 gym which would be open to pupils and the public.
It will include badminton courts, weights and other gym equipment, indoor bowls, aerobics, football and basketball.
A £150,000 project to build two science labs is part of the school's attempt to achieve science specialist college status. This would see Castle View's science and maths budget increase to £500,000 over the next four years.
The new drama studio will provide pupils with up-to-date lighting and sound equipment, a permanent stage and enough seating for 250.
Mr Sullivan said: "It will be of use to the community as well as our pupils as we will extend its opening to 10pm for people who use the sports hall and other facilities. It will seat around 50 people."
