Phil Parkinson firmly believes his Colchester United squad has enough of the 'right stuff' to achieve even better things next season.
And with just five games of the current campaign remaining, the successful new U's boss already has his mind firmly focused on the future.
Fans' favourite Parkinson today revealed to the Evening Gazette: "We have a lot to look forward to.
"In the short time I have been at Layer Road I have been very impressed with the spirit and character within the squad.
"What the players have achieved has been excellent.
"We must make sure over the summer that we retain that spirit and character. With a little tinkering here and there we will be aiming to improve things even further."
