Write us off at your peril. That was Pablo Counago's defiant message after Ipswich Town lost vital ground in the play-off race, going down 4-3 to Nottingham Forest.
The Blues are now seven points behind their rivals and missed the chance to draw level with Wolves, who were held 0-0 by Rotherham.
Town were 2-0 up in a pulsating, see-saw game at Portman Road on Saturday and Counago told the Evening Gazette: "The most disappointing thing was throwing away such a good lead.
"We lost our concentration when it mattered most and before we knew it they were back in the game, then in front. We played very well at times, especially in the first half, so perhaps we were a bit unlucky.
"The lads were really hurting afterwards because it was such an important game."
On a more upbeat note, Counago believes Ipswich's play-off rivals should not write them off yet.
Town still have five games left to edge into the top six and the Spaniard said: "It's definitely still possible.
"There's 15 points left to play for so things could look very different by the time we play our last game of the season at Derby."
