Brainy students went back to their old college to give students a taste of life at two of the country's leading universities - Oxford and Cambridge.

Stephen Beales and Catherine Rowlands returned to Seevic college in Runnymede Close, Thundersley, where they took their A-levels, to share their experiences of university life.

Stephen, 19, from Kiln Road, Thundersley, was one of three students who were accepted to Oxbridge from Seevic last year. He said: "I'm really enjoying it, I would recommend applying to Oxford or Cambridge to anyone."

Catherine, 22, from Bull Lane, Rayleigh, is in her final year at Cambridge. She said: "I know it sounds clich, but it has been the best three years of my life."
