East of England chambers of commerce, including Essex are linking together to give extra support to entrepreneurs to the tune of £240,000.
The new EECC is the first choice for integrated business support services, including the Acorn Project designed to nurture the full potential of young people in business by providing additional business advice and support from existing chamber resources.
The project , backed by the East of England Development Agency, will build on work undertaken through Young Enterprise, The Princes Trust and Education Business Partnerships to identify entrepreneurs with real commercial talent.
The new EECC with 18 offices and a staff of 150 brings together over 10,000 business members, representing around 330,000 employees.
Other chambers in the group include: Luton, Cambridge, Greater Peterborough, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk
