A pensioner whose 100-mile sponsored walk raised £8,200 for cancer care has handed over the money.
Malcolm Smith, of Highfields Road, Witham, raised the money for Farleigh Hospice by completing a 100-mile walk from Norwich to the hospice's headquarters in New London Road, Chelmsford, last year.
He has now handed over a cheque for the amount raised at the hospice
Mr Smith said: "It was so rewarding because I was introduced to some of the day patients and some of the staff there and I got more satisfaction than ever that I completed the walk.
"I shall certainly be considering doing something else in the future."
Mr Smith chose to support the charity after suffering from cancer 17 years ago and having several people close to him who were cared for by the hospice.
Mr Smith thanked his team of helpers Brian Wallis, Gordon Ager, Beryl and Ian Rice and Roy and Gwen Beckwith.
