Billericay Town face new injury woes for tomorrow's trip to Bishop's Stortford as New Lodge reverberates to the sound of groaning groins.

With goalkeeper Jerome John and striker Andy Douglas already sidelined, goal star Jamie Wallace has now been ruled out of the Ryman Premier clash.

All three have groin injuries and manager Gary Calder admitted: "The heavy surfaces we're playing on at the moment due to the wet weather certainly aren't helping."

But whatever their problems on the physical front -- star defender Ollie Adedeji is still out with knee trouble -- there is certainly nothing wrong with the spirit at the club.

Billericay have gone six games without defeat since top scorers Roy Essandoh and Martin Carthy were sold to Premier rivals Grays for £10,000 at Christmas.

Epitomising that spirit is 17-year-old goalkeeper Mark Fay who, in John's absence, came in to enjoy an outstanding debut as Billericay beat second-placed St Albans 1-0 at home on Tuesday.

The win keeps Town, eighth in the table but with games in hand, very much involved in the title fight as they approach a visit to opposition lying second from bottom.
