A royal visit for the county was today confirmed by Buckingham Palace.
It has been revealed Princess Anne will make a whistle-stop tour of a number of venues around the county.
Three south Essex venues have been revealed - a fourth is being kept under wraps for now and is expected to be announced next week.
The Princess Royal will spend an entire day in the area when she visits on Friday, April 11.
A spokeswoman for the Princess confirmed she will visit Bullwood Hall prison, in Bullwood Approach, Hockley, the new Cherry Orchard Jubilee Park, in Rochford, and the Citizens Advice Bureau, in Southend, as part of her tour.
A spokeswoman for the Palace said today: "A final program for the visit will be finalised about a month before the visit."
