Simon Bonham is facing a wait to find out who he will be facing in the semi-finals of the Southend & District LTA men's singles championship.
The Westcliff Hardcourts player will meet either Wickford's Craig George or Southend Council's tennis development officer Luke Greenway in the last four.
Andy Bacon and Simon Chesher -- both from the Hardcourts -- are the other semi-finalists.
Quarter-final action sees David Lloyd Basildon's Carey Willson as the only competitor not playing for Hard.
He pairs Bacon with the remaining partnerships being Bonham/Nick Plappert, Chesher/Lance Owen and John Handelaar/Jeremy Harvey.
Gary Reynolds, Ian McDonald, Taifar Rahman and Geoff Spillett saw Westcliff Lawn to a 4-0 Essex vets winter league Division One win over Cranston Park.
Hockley drew 2-2 in their Essex veterans Division Three fixture away to David Lloyd Chigwell. Mike Mower, Jan Thorpe, Mick Ripton and Steve Baldwin represented the Folly Lane club.
