Solicitor Sally Clark today told how she was trying to put her nightmare behind her at her mid Essex home
Mrs Clark - jailed for life for the murders of her two baby sons - was yesterday dramatically freed by the Court of Appeal after her conviction was overturned.
She had always protested her innocence, insisting that her sons died of cot death syndrome.
Mrs Clark, 38, a policeman's daughter was jailed for life in November, 1999, at Chester Crown Court
She was convicted of smothering 11-week-old Christopher in December, 1996, and shaking eight-week-old Harry to death in January, 1998, at the luxury home she shared with her husband, Stephen, in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
Now the couple are staying at their home in Chelmsford and are trying to make a fresh start with their four-year-old son.
As she opened the door of her townhouse on the outskirts of the county town today she looked pale and drawn.
She said she and her family wanted time together and privacy to take in what has happened to them.
She hinted she was trying to get life back to normal planning to visit family and friends over the next few days.
Lord Justice Kay said the court was satisfied that Mrs Clark did not have a fair trial.
After the hearing, Mrs Clark said she did not feel victorious, only relief that her "nightmare" was finally over.
