A woman watched helplessly as a man repeatedly kicked her car early on New Year's Day.
Southend Magistrates' Court heard she found a man bleeding profusely and leaning on her Ford Orion in the Royals car park in Southend at 3.45am.
Terry Clark, 23, of Burr Hill Chase, Southend, was said to have walked towards the injured man and petrified woman and proceeded to kick her car, causing £200 of damage.
The court heard Clark had been drinking heavily and had become involved in a fight which he claimed he had tried to stop. He lashed out at the car when he spotted a man he thought was involved.
Clark admitted criminal damage and received a 12-month conditional discharge. He was ordered to pay £200 compensation.
