A man who was caught with someone else's tax disc during a routine check by traffic police is facing a community sentence.
Southend magistrates heard Daniel Anderson, of Bridge Road, Grays, was stopped by chance last November as police did routine checks along Marine Parade, Southend.
The 23-year-old admitted fraudulent use of a tax disc, driving alone without a full licence and having no insurance.
The court heard Anderson had used the car knowing he was not permitted to drive alone because he needed to get to work.
Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports saying the offences were serious enough to warrant a community penalty. Anderson was granted unconditional bail to appear at court again on February 24.
