Eastgate Shopping Centre has taken part in an initiative to promote training and career opportunities to people of all ages in Basildon.
WayToGo is a county-wide effort to get more people to take advice about their future and 18 exhibitors set up in Eastgate to offer information on courses and jobs.
Among those offering advice was 18-year-old Essex FM presenter Vicky '"Thunderbird" Willsmore.
They also offered information on college and childcare costs, CVs and job interviews.
The 18 exhibitors, included Thurrock and Basildon College, Central Hairdressing and Essex County Council, all members of South Essex Learning Partnership and backing the WayToGo campaign.
Promotions manager Mike Horton said: "Education is one of our community projects and we are pleased to be able to offer our facilities for this student support exhibition event."
If you would like advice on training or help with your career, call the WayToGo freephone helpline on 0800 917 8790 or visit the website.
