Buses will be barred from Chelmsford town centre on Friday during the visit of the Earl and Countess of Wessex to Chelmsford Cathedral to commemorate the 1953 floods.
Duke Street will be closed from approximately 11am until 3pm and buses will be diverted from Duke Street to Victoria Road South and Parkway.
The Cathedral and Wetherspoons stops in the town centre will both be out of action and nearest alternatives will be the railway station. Services affected will be the 41, 42, 45, 47, 51, 54 and 56 and bus station - services 14, 15, 25, 31A, 31/31X, 32, 36, 40, 43, 50, 52/52A, 71, 72, 73A, 100, 351 plus Stansted Diamond.
Bus operators First Group say all services except the 14, 15, 32, 42, 100 and 351 will also stop at Parkway.
