Holocaust memorial garden has been opened outside Southend Civic Centre by Rabbi Mendel Lew in a special ceremony.
He dedicated the garden, created by Southend Council, to the millions murdered by the Nazis.
The event took place on Holocaust Memorial Day, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz death camp in Poland.

Rabbi Lew said: "The garden has a variety of plants and flowers which grow together in harmony.
"This is a model for the society we would like to live in. Southend has a very good record of different faiths living together in peace."
