A trio of Southend sporting people have got their just desserts at the annual Sports Council awards.
The three were picked from the largest field of nominees that Southend Sports Council have ever had to select from.

But they whittled the 30 entries down to just one in each of the three categories to be rewarded.
Southend's mayor, Dr Alan Crystall, presented the winners with their trophies in a ceremony he hosted at the mayor's parlour, Porters in Southchurch Road.
Runner and triathlete Adam Hickey won the junior sports personality of the year title, while the senior award went to race walker Kevin Perry.
Southend Borough Combination Veterans League secretary Tony Hoskins took the honours in the coach/administrator of the year category.
"This year has seen the largest number of nominated coaches and performers ever," said awards organiser Paul Hart.
"In total 30 individuals were nominated covering 16 sports and it proved to be difficult task for the executive committee of the sports council to choose their winners."
