Billericay Town boss Gary Calder could face further problems with his fully stretched first team squad tonight when his side host second in the table St Albans.
Already without central defender Ollie Adedeji and striker Andy Douglas through injury, first choice goalkeeper Jerome John suffered a groin injury in Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Hayes and could also be missing.
If he doesn't make it the stopper slot will go to teenage reserve Mark Fay, who has not made a full first-team appearance this season with John being a 100 per cent starter in league and cup competitions.
St Albans, six points behind Aldershot with two games in hand, are reckoned by many as being one of only two clubs - the others being Canvey - with the strength in depth capable of making a serious challenge on the top dogs for the title.
Their squad includes Miguel De Souza, who had a brief spell at New Lodge earlier in his career, who came off the bench to score his side's 86th minute winner in Saturday's 2-1 success at Hitchin.
Although down in tenth spot, Billericay have games in hand on most teams above them and it's too early to write them off in the bid for the main honours.
