Budding musicians are being invited to take part in a music workshop which will lead to a performance in front of the Mayor of Colchester
The Colne Valley Training Orchestra is inviting youngsters aged eight and over to join forces for a musical workshop being held at Lion Walk United Reformed Church in Colchester.
Music teachers Susan Boddy and Beverley Humphreys are organising the Play for Pleasure Holiday Orchestra at the church on February 20 and 21.
The young musicians will learn to play a variety of pieces from the Teletubbies and Beauty and the Beast to classical works like Mozart's Linz symphony
Then, after two days practising, the musicians will perform in front of guests, VIPs and Colchester Mayor Nigel Chapman.
The two-day course costs £25 with two free tickets included in the price.
