The wife of a lorry driver killed in a crash has paid tribute to the motorcycling fan.
Bruce White, 47, of Essex Close, Rayleigh, was certified dead at the scene after his articulated lorry carrying coal crossed the central reservation of the A120 Braintree bypass near Freeport.
The lorry, heading towards Colchester, overturned landing on the Dunmow-bound track of the bypass at around 8.15pm on Wednesday, January 22.
Mr White leaves two daughters Katie, 23, and Sophie, 21, and seven-year-old grandson Dylan.
His wife Paula, who he met 17 years ago when she was protesting about lorries travelling through her home village of Barling Magna near Southend, is still coming to terms with her loss.
She said: "Bruce was one of those lorry drivers and we somehow got together, married and remained together until his tragic death.
"He was passionate about motorcycling and was a keen rider being a member of Tilbury's World's End motorcycle club.
"I will continue to ride my bike alone, but I know Bruce will always be with me."
Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the accident which was attended by fire crews from Braintree and Colchester as well as police investigators and an ambulance.
Anyone with information should call Bocking road policing unit on 01376 330722.
