The deadline for firms wanting to take on a council security contract - the sensitive details of which were posted on the internet - has now passed
Essex County Council is seeking a firm to take over the running of its night-time security at various buildings.
The contract hit the headlines after the Evening Gazette revealed sensitive security details about council buildings had been posted on the internet.
Details included how many CCTV cameras were operated, how many doors have an audio-visual entry phone system, how many burglar alarms there are and how they are controlled and when different departments are not staffed or manned by night staff.
After the alarming situation was revealed, the county council removed various pieces of information from its website.
