Four mums have taken their children out of school because they say an infestation of headlice has got out of hand.
Tracy Jarvis, Heidi Gilbert, Susie Fyfield and Mel Simms all took their children out of Holt Farm School, in Ashingdon Road, Rochford, on Friday, blaming headteacher Robin Goodier for giving them no other option.
Mr Goodier said in a statement that it was up to parents to treat their children's hair.
