A Leigh school is launching an ambitious project to raise £90,000 to fund vital building works, including major new facilities for children with learning difficulties.
West Leigh Junior School, in Ronald Hill Grove, is celebrating its 90th anniversary by raising money for the project.
The new building will create extra teaching space by developing an outside area in the middle of the school, largely to provide better facilities for pupils with learning difficulties.

The staff room will be extended and wider corridors and new toilets also form part of the refurbishment plan.
