Four cars today crashed on an icy mid Essex road.
Four people were slightly injured in the pile-up on the A131 Great Notley bypass at 7.30am. All motorists managed to get out of their vehicles before the emergency services arrived.
The driver of a Ford Fiesta, which came to a halt in a ditch by the side of the road, close to Panners Farm roundabout, was taken to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, with minor facial injuries.
The other motorists had very slight injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
