Underfire U's boss Steve Whitton is desperate for three points after seeing his team go eight games without a win at Layer Road.
It seems a very long time since the Kem Izzet-inspired 2-0 win over Chesterfield in fact, it was more than three months ago.
But Colchester haven't won at all since the 3-2 away triumph over Luton in mid-December.
And with the U's now lying in the Division Two relegation zone, Whitton knows that his team need to pull something out of the bag tomorrow.
They face a Blackpool team who are knocking on the play-off door and who beat them 3-1 in the U's last game of 2002.
