Young woman engineer Helena Hutt gave pupils an insight into her work as she presented prizes at a prize day at Southend High School for Girls.

Helena, from Loughton, won the top engineer's award in October, winning £1,000. She went to the school to reward and inspire the girls at a ceremony.
Students and staff were presented with a wide variety of awards for academic achievement.
