A motorcyclist died wheh he hit the back of a car which had slowed down for a baby rabbit to cross the road and was thrown into the path of an on-coming vehicle.

Jason Jealous, who was riding his 1100cc Suzuki along Church Road, Brightlingsea, died instantly from the injuries he received in the second collision, an inquest heard.

The 28-year-old had overtaken a number of vehicles travelling along the B1029 out of the town on June 23.

But as he left a series of bends and then approached the car, which had slowed down, he was unable to stop in time and clipped the back of the Rover. Mr Jealous, of Regent Road, Brightlingsea, used his brakes but it was too late.

Essex Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray recorded a verdict that his death was a tragic accident.
