A computer expert who was one of the brains behind an international paedophile group has been jailed.

Martin Rayner, 53, was "the administrator" in the group, called the Tea Lovers, which made indecent videos of children as young as four.

Rayner's barrister, Zubair Ahmed, said the defendant was now a broken man who recognised his activities involving youngsters were "grotesque and appaling".

Rayner, of Granville Close, Billericay, pleaded guilty to 17 specimen charges of making indecent videos of children and one charge of showing the images.

He was jailed for two years.

The young victims, filmed in Russia and the Far East, were aged between four and 15, said Christopher Paxton, prosecuting, at Basildon Crown Court.

He said some of the 400 videos included torture.
