Basildon snooker professional Stuart Bingham has continued his great run of results in qualifying tournaments for the main tour.

Having won through to the March final stages of the Citywest Irish Masters in Dublin -- he will meet world number one Ronnie O'Sullivan when the main event gets underway -- Bingham has achieved more success in the Regal Scottish competition.

In the final qualifying round he beat experienced Scot Billy Snaddon and now goes on to meet Dave Harold when the tournament proper is held in Edinburgh in April.

It all means that Bingham, who plays out of Leigh's Executive Club, has won five qualifying matches on the trot in Blackpool and is producing performances to give his ranking placing a major boost following a disappointing first half of the season.

He will now be hoping that his good form continues when he returns to Blackpool next week to start his bid to qualify for the Embassy World Championship.
