Visitors to the Basildon Council offices can now put their feet up and be informed and entertained while they wait.
CCTV screens have been installed in the reception area on the ground floor of the offices in St Martin's Square to broadcast news and information to interest people who live or work in the district.

Regular features include weather bulletins, air quality levels and daily news items on issues like community initiatives and council services.
The service, similar to teletext enhanced with photographs and graphics, can transmit instant news such as travel information.
Council chairman Joe White said: "This is an excellent way to get information to our residents and I hope people will find the service interesting and informative."
