Four members of the public were treated by paramedics for breathing difficulties following a chemical leak from a trailer.
Acid and solution was found leaking from a split drum in the back of a trailer parked inside the DSDS warehouse in Stonehouse Lane, Purfleet, at around 2am on Saturday.
Two fire crews from Grays, wearing protective chemical suits, attended the incident and were able to contain the leak from spreading further.
