Hockley's Greensward College are again on the trail of major success in the national schools' basketball competition.

Their under-15 teams won through the last 16 stage when they beat Surrey's Salacian School 76-52 and will now be enjoying home advantage when Greensward stage the final stages next month.

The under-16s enjoyed a 92-49 win over Bishop Bell, Eastbourne, and in a few weeks time face a tough knockout quarter-final at Priestnall School, Stockport -- who beat them in the under-15 final last year.

Greensward will look for revenge this time and are undoubtedly benefitting from their close links with the Swifts Club, who are based at the College, with their coach Stephen Pearl now playing a leading part in training.
