Harlow Town came back from the dead to rescue an unlikely point at Berkhamstead Town on Saturday.

With the club's title ambitions having suffered a stern examination over recent weeks, the Essex side knew they had to take something from this tricky tie at mid-table Berkhamstead.

The early signs weren't good however, with the hosts nudging in front on 7 minutes through prolific veteran striker Jon Richardson.

That lead was doubled by John Pedder on the hour, and with title rivals Northwood and Wealdstone both winning, it appeared a disasterous Saturday for the Rocks.

But with Daniel Jones reducing the arrears on 85 minutes, an unlikely point was rescued two minutes from time as Jones bagged his second, and a 2-2 draw which takes Harlow back up to 4th.

Jean-Marie Okita and Ricky Downs hit the goals at Arlesey to take Tilbury up to 8th, while an impressive win for East Thurrock United put paid to Yeading's recent run of form that has taken them to the fringes of the promotion picture.

A double from lee Burns and further goal by Keith Martin see Thurrock pull away from the drop places.

Dan Trenkel hit the winner for Great Wakering Rovers in a 2-1 win at Oxford City, though disappointment for Wivenhoe, who could only muster a point at home to hapless Wembley in a 2-2 draw. George Fowler and Ben Fuller got the goals.

A cruel ending for Aveley also, who succummed to Grant Goodall's injury time winner for Marlow in a seven-goal thriller.

Marlow, who were involved in a seven-goal thriller last weekend at Dagenham & Redbridge, led three times in this clash, though goals from Aveley's Tommy Lee and Steve Dickinson (2) kept the Essex visitors in this clash right up to Goodall's late late winner.

The two sides swap places with Aveley now down to 16th in Division One North.
