International stars will be slugging it out for honours at the Essex closed squash and racketball competition in Basildon this week.
Last year's winners Peter Barker and Lauren Briggs, who are both in the England and World squash rankings, will be defending their titles at Club Kingswood, in Sparrows Herne.
"It's going to be a great two days contested by some excellent players," said a spokesman for the event.
"Both days are going to be hectic as competitors fight their way through the rounds leading up to the finals.
"And I'm sure it will prove an exciting spectacle for people coming to watch the players in action."
The two day tournament begins on Saturday, January 25, and concludes with the finals the following day.
Spectators are welcome to attend the whole weekend and more information can be obtained from Club Kingswood on 01268 522954.
