Two company directors accused of the man-slaughter of 15-year-old Dean Butler will be tried at Basildon Crown Court.
Lewis Courtney, 54, of Marshfoot Road, Grays, and James Holland, 47, of Seaborough Road, Chad-well St Mary, were remanded on bail on a charge of manslaughter.
They are directors of quarry firm Clearserve. Dean was killed at Rainbow Shaw Quarry, near Stanford-le-Hope.
