Westcliff Rugby Club are resurgent again this season -- and it's all down to their new coaching duo.
The team has dropped down the divisions in recent seasons, but this term lead Eastern Counties Two and have made the semi-finals of the Essex President's Shield.
Former Barking man Garry Usher and assistant coach Mike Hannen have led the turnaround in fortunes.
Director of rugby, Don Faulkner said: "One of the things about the success we have had this season is that we have managed to do it by putting out a consistent team.
"This says a lot for the fitness work assistant coach Mike Hannen did with them during the summer which has meant a lack of injuries.
"We have good cover in most positions and the confidence within the team is very high."
Westcliff's latest challenge sees them facing Ilford Wanderers at home tomorrow.
