Is this the dirtiest road in Tendring?
That's what some residents of Victoria Street, Dovercourt, believe.
Alison Bevan, of Victoria Street, Dovercourt, said the road was supposed to be cleaned regularly.
However, she claimed it was not and rubbish had piled up.
Miss Bevan, who gave birth to her baby son, Luke, last Wednesday, said while refuse bags were collected on time, the road never seemed to be cleaned up and she was concerned about hygiene.
The Gazette went there and found old suitcases and beds dumped in the road.
Miss Bevan said: "We are knee-deep in filth. I talked to the council about it but nothing has been done.
"The rest of the area is fairly clean, I haven't seen a street quite as dirty as ours."
Harwich mayor Dave McLeod said: "It's the most unkempt area in the town.
"I feel the whole area is in desperate need of a clean-up."
