Westcliff Hardcourts and Thorpe Bay are gearing up to finally play their Jubilee Cup semi-final clash.
The match was originally rained off the weekend before Christmas and Southend & District LTA chiefs have been trying to get the match played since.
The two clubs will meet at the Hardcourts at 1.30pm on Sunday, with the winners meeting Westcliff Lawn in the final. Hard enjoyed a 3-1 Essex Division One victory over Gidea Park thanks to Richard Barham, Jeremy Harvey, Simon Chesher and Alan Hill.
Westcliff Lawn's first team of Dave Lamb, Tim Willcock, Bryan Rivers and Alan Kemp saw off Great Baddow 4-0 in Essex Division One.
Hockley arrived at Gidea Park for their league match only to find the courts were frostbound.
Lawn's ladies veterans travelled to Thorpe Bay in Essex Division One and left with a 3-1 win thanks to Sarah O'Sullivan, Nicola Hopkins, Gill Sanderson and Janet Clapham.
Kris Newbery, Carol Boston, Dawn Brown and Heather Bell represented the host club.
Rayleigh's third team of Roger Perham, Terry Murley, Mike Bestow and Ian Hodges drew 2-2 with Harlow in Essex Division Two.
Southend & District LTA's annual meeting will be held on Monday, February 3 from 7.30pm at Southend Lawn.
