A display of stained glass by a local artist at Rayleigh library has been a smashing success.
Jan Vincent is displaying five examples of her work at the library in the High Street.
She began working with stained glass five years ago when her husband knocked a hole in the wall and asked her to create a window to fit.

She has been attending courses ever since and now works with a variety of different materials.
Councillor Bonnie Hart, cabinet member for lifelong learning and libraries, said: "I was very impressed by this wonderful colourful display of stained glass."
