An ambitious project to bring a 19th Century church organ to Southend High School for Boys is under way thanks to two eager young music students.
Greg Tucker and Jonathan Roberts, who are both pupils at the school, saw that the St Mary the Virgin Church in Shenfield was scrapping its huge 19th Century organ.
They offered to pay £250 for it, but they ended up getting it for free.
