Great Wakering Rovers have now moved up to 16th place in the Ryman Division One North table with a fine run of just one defeat in their past five games.

However, tonight they face a strong challenge to their improvement when they host former Conference giants Slough Town (7.45pm).

The visitors desperately want to regain the Premier Division status they lost last year, but are currently only on the fringes of the hunt down in seventh spot.

Victory for Wakering would further banish all thoughts of the drop from the minds of Rovers' fans and could see them not far short of a halfway position.
