The box office for the biggest book festival in the eastern region, Eureka - the Essex Book Festival 2003, has opened with promises of something for all to enjoy.
This year's theme is discovery and more than 70 writers including Agnes Dearthes, Pavlos Mertesis, Peter McCarthy, Claudia Roden and Julian Barnes will be taking part in more than 50 events across the county including readings, performances and discussions.
Cllr Bonnie Hart of Essex County Council said: "This is a great opportunity to hear from some of the biggest names in the literary world at first hand. Tickets are likely to go fast so book early to be sure of yours."
The box office is at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester on 01206 573948 with information also available from the festival website on www.thisisessex.co.uk/eureka
