Revised plans to renovate a town centre building have been submitted to Colchester Council.
D'Arcy House, in Culver Street East, has a chequred history and over the years has been a bed and breakfast, antique shop and cafe.
Lifestyles Renovations, which has owned the building since late 2001, is now seeking to convert the Georgian townhouse into a three-bedroom house and a four-bedroom house.
The application currently being considered by the council seeks to begin internal work to change the interior layout of the building.
