They sealed off part of Travers Way, Pitsea - where she lived with her partner and baby son - following the discovery of her body in Bow, east London.

The grisly find was made after a Met Police patrol on Saturday night came across a Volkswagen Golf on wasteland.

Two men fled and officers gave chase. One of the men, a 44-year-old, was arrested and near the car officers found the body wrapped in tarpaulin.

Ms Banyard was a trainee sales manager of a sports shop.

Following the first arrest, police went to a home in Plaistow where they arrested a 22-year-old man. Both men were today still in police custody.
