One of south Essex's best-known business names is about to disappear.
Cargill - the largest privately owned company in the world - has bought its biggest competitor, Cerestar, and in future the Tilbury Docks-based Cargill company will be known as Cerestar along with all the company's European businesses.
A spokesman for the organisation added: "At Tilbury, we are looking to move the general look of the site to the new image.
The change will involve new signs, stationery and documentation, livery on tankers and generally replacing all the old Cargill signs. We will also be notifying customers and the local community about our new identity.
